In March 2017, PHATECO signed a contract with 189 LLC (Ministry of National Defense) to train aluminum welders and provide welding supervision consulting on aluminum products. PHATECO Welding Technology Department assigned welding instructor Nguyen Duc Tiep to carry out this project, starting from March 8, 2017 and ending on May 11, 2017.
Aluminum welding is a welding method that is very difficult to achieve good weld quality (due to the possibility of welding defects). During the training process, Mr. Tiep also encountered many difficulties such as:
- The large number of welders (over 80 welders) required training in a short period of about 20 days to complete.
- Customers have very high requirements for training quality to improve product quality due to the welders’ poor technique.
However, with the enthusiasm and training methods of the welding teachers, along with the coordination, preparation, care, and good conditions for materials, machinery, and personnel of Company 189, the training course results were quite positive. Specifically, after 20 days of training for 82 welders, the VT test results reached 100%, and the RT test results reached 85.3%.
Company 189 is very satisfied with the results achieved and highly appreciates the training quality of PHATECO, affirming that it will cooperate with PHATECO for the next training sessions in the near future.
