NDT Project Implementation of Puma – Dinh Vu Asphalt Plant

In May 2016, PHATECO officially implemented the work of testing the quality of welds using non-destructive testing methods (RT, MT…) for the project “Puma Energy Asphalt in Dinh Vu” of Puma Energy Asphalt Vietnam Co., Ltd., a member of Puma Energy Group – Singapore. The contract was signed with the fabrication & erection contractor – Petrolimex Construction Joint Stock Company I (PCC1).

PHATECO’s inspection items include: 03 asphalt tanks of 7,000m3, 01 water tank and 1km of pipeline system. This project is undertaken by the Department of Oil and Gas and is expected to be completed in September 2016.

Although the scale and volume of the project are not large, this is a foreign-related project, requiring strict quality and progress, especially professionalism in the coordination process with related parties (Investor, Fabrication & Installation Contractor & Supervision Consultant).

The Puma Energy Asphalt Plant in Dinh Vu is built to carry out the mixing and packaging of asphalt and related products. The scale of the project is 200,000 tons of asphalt/year, 5,000 tons of asphalt emulsion/year, 20,000 tons of polymer asphalt/year. The total investment capital of the project is equivalent to 12 million USD, of which the contributed capital for project implementation is equivalent to 05 million USD. According to the plan, the project will officially come into operation in December 2016.
