Deploying the maintenance and repair project of the DeepSea Metro I Drilling Vessel – Odfjell Drilling

PHATECO has been trusted by Odfjell Drilling and signed a contract to provide maintenance, repair and material supply services for Deepsea Metro I, specifically the following work items:

1. Fabrication and installation of new 8-inch seawater supply pipe for fire fighting system according to DNV-GL standards and carried out under the supervision of OD Norway/DNV-GL
2. Providing inspection and cleaning services for the entire ventilation system of the residential area using automatic robots.
3. Providing annual inspection, commissioning and performance testing, load testing, acceleration testing and drop testing for elevators.
4. Providing repair services for cracks on KBC#1 and Dodly cranes under the supervision of DNV-GL

All of the above work items, including onshore fabrication and onboard implementation (offshore Vung Tau), were carried out within 02 months, starting from May 19, 2017. PHATECO has been working with subcontractors such as PPS, Nam Tien Eng Ltd., Song Anh Eng Ltd., Inspection Center 2 to implement the work to ensure quality, progress and safety to affirm PHATECO’s reputation as well as continue to receive the trust of customers and inspection organizations, laying the foundation for long-term cooperation and subsequent contracts.

In 2015, PHATECO also carried out the project “Repairing cracks on crane No. 2 KBC#2 under strict supervision of DNV-GL” and was also highly appreciated by Odfjell Drilling and DNV-GL Register.
