Signing of Contract for Providing NDT Services for Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Project

The Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant (NS2) project has started construction in Nghi Son Economic Zone with a value of 2.79 billion USD, invested in the form of Build – Operate – Transfer (BOT) with 2 units, capacity of 1,330 MW, built by the main contractor Doosan Vietnam Co., Ltd., expected to be completed in July 2022.

NS2PC is a Vietnamese company established by a joint venture between Marubeni (Japan) and KEPCO (Korea) to invest and operate the Nghi Son 2 BOT project.

Date On July 10, 2019, PHATECO officially signed the NDT contract for the Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant project with the main contractor, Doosan Vietnam Co., Ltd. The contract includes RT, UT, PT, MPI, HT, PAUT items for pressure pipes of boilers, turbines and other items such as tanks, plant structures. The expected implementation period is within 02 years, starting from July 10, 2019.

The peak time of the project is from October 2019 to October 2020 with a staff of up to 15-20 people.

In addition, in this project, PHATECO is also completing the inspection of the foundation pile item for the contractor FECON. At the same time, it is signing contracts and conducting NDT for other auxiliary items for contractors Lilama 18, Lilama 69-1, etc.
