From August 10, 2015, PHATECO started implementing the NDT project at Dung Quat Oil Refinery. The current scope of work of PHATECO here is to measure thickness and use phased array ultrasound to determine the level of corrosion for some important items in the technology zone of the Factory. The personnel assigned to participate in the project include: Pham Minh Duc, Ho The Binh, Le Xuan Hung, Luong Van Tat, Pham Van Luan, Nguyen Duc Hieu, Vo Thanh Huynh, Bui Quyet Tien, Cao Khac Hung…
Up to now, the project implementation team has implemented a part of the work items. In which, the most difficult and arduous work is measuring the thickness of high temperature tanks and pipes. There are items with temperatures up to 400 ~ 500oC. To be able to carry out the work, in addition to requiring specialized equipment and materials for high temperature work, it also requires great effort from the technicians when working. Just standing for a while near these scorching hot pipes, the technicians have to endure the burning heat on their faces, backs and sweat profusely.
Despite the hardship, the technicians working here still work very enthusiastically and responsibly. During the day, they do their jobs well in the Factory. At night, they take the time to review the data, test results and make reports to submit to customers on time. Everyone strives for the success of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery project.
