Progress of Thang Long Thermal Power Project

Thang Long Thermal Power Plant with a capacity of 2×300 MW was approved for construction by the Prime Minister on July 29, 2011. The project investor is Thang Long Thermal Power Joint Stock Company – GELEXIMCO. The project is built in Le Loi commune, Hoanh Bo district with a total area of ​​124.44 hectares, with a total project investment of more than 22,000 billion VND. The investment and operation of Thang Long Thermal Power Plant Project located in the largest thermal power center of the country is very important for the socio-economic development, energy security and industrialization and modernization process of Quang Ninh province, the Northeast region and the whole country in general.

Starting the project in February 2016, PHATECO has carefully prepared human resources and equipment to best meet customer requirements on safety, progress and quality. In this project, PHATECO undertakes two important items: NDT inspection (RT/MT/UT) of circulating water pipes at Lisemco’s manufacturing workshop – Hai Phong and direct NDT inspection at the construction site, installing the circulating water system of the Thang Long Thermal Power Plant project – Hoanh Bo, Quang Ninh. According to the expected plan, in August, PHATECO will continue to deploy the boiler item for the contractor Son Tay 3 – China.
