Successfully implemented NDT, PWHT, Dry-out projects at Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant

AES-TKV Mong Duong Power Company Limited (BOT Company), the Investor of Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Project, was established by member companies of AES Corporation (USA), Posco Energy (Korea) and China Investment Corporation (China) – one of PHATECO’s close customers in recent years.
Following the successes of previous cooperations, along with trust in PHATECO’s capacity and professionalism, in July 2019, AES assigned PHATECO to carry out the Concrete Drying (Dry-out) project at Mong Duong 2 factory. The total project involves drying 67m2 of concrete at a high temperature of 350 degrees Celsius and a process of nearly 36 hours. PHATECO’s staff includes 13 people and 9 machines. Personnel gathered to prepare for the project starting from July 8, starting on July 13 and ending on July 21, 2019.
In addition, from July 22 to August 3, 2019, PHATECO continued to implement the Outage Unit 2 package with the work items of PAUT, PT and PWHT. With a large and continuous volume, PHATECO mobilized and hired additional subcontractors to ensure the progress of the Factory.
In September 2019, AES continued to trust and assign PHATECO to inspect, supervise, and perform PAUT, PT, and PWHT work for Outage Unit 1 package. The project implementation period started from September 10 and ended on September 26, 2019. Due to the urgent progress, the Factory required a Level III at the construction site to supervise to ensure progress and quality, so PHATECO mobilized Mr. Nguyen Quang Sang from Nghi Son Construction Site and mobilized 18 personnel to work continuously both day and night shifts to support the factory to complete on schedule. 
The working time was urgent, the technicians encountered many difficulties, especially working at SDDC, a closed space so the temperature was very high, but PHATECO engineers and technicians tried hard day and night to complete the job well and received satisfaction and many compliments and thanks from AES customers.
