Radiation Safety Inspector at PHATECO

On June 17 and 18, 2015, PHATECO received the Inspection Delegation of the Department of Nuclear Radiation Safety to conduct a specialized inspection on radiation safety at the Company’s Head Office. The Company’s representatives participating in the reception and working with the Inspection Delegation included Mr. Tran Van Vuong – Deputy General Director in charge of technology and Mr. Tran Duc Duy – Deputy Director of Technical Services, Officer in charge of radiation safety.

During the two working days at the company, the Inspection Team inspected the implementation and assurance of radiation safety of PHATECO through the system of records, documents and direct inspection at the site, which is the Song Gia construction site. On July 17, 2015, the Department of Nuclear and Radiation Safety sent the official conclusion of the inspection. According to the conclusion, PHATECO Company has basically done a good job in ensuring the security and safety of radioactive sources. In addition, the Department of Nuclear and Radiation Safety has made a number of additional requests and recommendations to further improve the assurance of safety and security of radioactive sources. Previously, on June 14, 2015, the Department of Science and Technology of Thanh Hoa also conducted a radiation safety inspection at the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Project Construction Site and the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ninh province conducted an inspection at the Ha Long Construction Site on June 11, 2015.
